Care Ministry

Here For You

We want to partner with you during any kind of struggle, hardship, or difficulty that you are facing. Along with our weekend services, we offer many resources to help connect you with a community that will provide support, to help you discover the best place to seek counseling, or to have the opportunity for us to partner with you in prayer. In addition to this, we also want to provide those who lost a loved one with support and guidance during the funeral or memorial process. When you are struggling with any hardships or difficulties, allow us to partner with you by clicking on the links below to connect with our resources.

Pre-Marital Counseling

Marriage is one of the biggest decisions of your life, second only to choosing to follow God. HDC’s premarital counseling exists to prepare legally single couples to see marriage through a Biblical and oikocentric worldview. Our Premarital counseling is designed for heterosexual couples who are legally single and are seeking to become legally married. All couples seeking to be married at HDC or by an HDC Ministry Staff person must interview with a ministry staff person prior to any counseling.

Counseling will be done privately with a ministry staff person trained in premarital counseling and will cover expectations and family history, the purpose and traits of a biblical marriage, conflict resolution, roles and responsibilities, sexual intimacy, and finances.

To start the process, we recommend you contact the church at least four months prior to your wedding date. You can register for counseling by clicking on the "Application" button below. If you have any questions, you can also call 760-245-2415 x269.

For the health and success of your marriage, we strongly recommend you abstain from sexual intercourse and cohabitation. Not complying with these two recommendations will not disqualify you from premarital counseling, but may disqualify you from having an HDC ministry staff person officiate your wedding.
